I don't know what their ethnicity is either, but our company has recieved dozens of snail mail scams from Nigeria, all professing to be ministers or agents of the government. Now that e-mail is popular they have switched over to that form of contact because it is faster and harder to trace. We turned our letters over to the LA County Sheriff's department, who said that they have thousands of identical letters, all from Nigeria. They have traced fingerprints to known individuals who were protected by the Nigerian government.
The sad bottom line is that these scams must be reaping ill gotten gains in spades or they wouldn't be so prevelant.
