Think I found my Brake problem!!

My problem is the after several (5-6) full system bleedings, I was unable to develop brake pedal pressure. Finally, when I turned off my obligatory shop radio, I could hear fluid squirting out. There is a hole in the corner of the 4 sided plug that goes in the MC cap. I looks like it was drilled in the plug on purpose. What the heck is it there for? I have been unable to develop pressure because the fluid is coming out the hole. A new plug should correct this, right? Thanks!
