Best bet is NOT to use "D" rings or set chain/strap location tie spots. Put stake pockets every 18" or so (can use channel iron in vertical position)with a strap iron rail on the outside along the edge of the trailer along the entire trailer. This will give you MANY options for chain or strap attachment as well as an option to put a removeable "fence" onto the trailer if needed.
