Well, this is odd, strange and kinda funny at the same time.... My township I am in is one in 5 townships in the whole lower penninsula of Michigan with NO ZONING! Yes, thats right, NO ZONING. I can put a pig pen in my front yard, and be legal, Build a small factory and be legal etc. I see alot of construction going on locally with no permits up as well. Several years back, the township board voted Zoning in, and then a couple people who feel like I do about things, went and petitioned it, got in on the ballot and had the people vote on it, and it got voted down! BUT, seeing as we have no zoning, we still have blight ordinacnes, property and land split ordinaces AND we have no construction inspector, BUT the township hires the CCA inspector from a local town to take care all that. Basically what I am trying to say is that, they say we have no zoning, but they have found suttle ways to sneak it in to a degree and they continue to do so. Remember back in November when I posted that I had bought the trailer and acre and a half next door to the 11 1/2 acres I had before? Well, Turns out I didnt! THey wont let the owner of that lot divide it up, because it would leave two landlocked parcels. BUT the Township board will let us divide it, but the property lines will run right thru both trailers and both septics! Fancy that! Now the only Thing I can do is to rent it or lease it! Well, I decided to just wash my hands 'clean' of that place, and do some construction on my other land. I do plan to get a registered and running repair facility going in the future, BUT I dont have a legal driveway or address to the other property yet. I been thinking about trying to get a Salvage liscense, but I can just imagine the headaches I will go thru with that one! Untill my license ran out last year, I was a state certified auto tech. I hope to have the driveway in before winter, and get the adress. When I do, I will have the place as a legal repair facility and when they give me a hassle, Tell them to get off, they are tresspassing. I have my property posted "No Tresspassing" by the way, and if I find out who was 'Snooping' out there, I may take em to court for tresspassing. I know a few others who have been popped for blight who have had their land posted, and the blight inspector either denies seeing a sign or in some cases pushes it away! In this area, expecially about 20 min south, the Yuppies are moving up here in droves! Land in my area is skyrocketing. I may just hold onto my land for a couple years, brushog some weeds down, sell it to a couple yuppies, cash in on it, and head somewheres else, probably down south. Well, I am ranting too much. I am considering establishing my own legal defense fund. Lets take our country back!
