I believe that everyone wants "it" NOW, And can't wait 1 second more. I had a customer call me for an electrical service call the other day, they wanted a technician out to wire their dishwasher they were having installed.The only time available to them was 8:30 am on Tuesday, Now this part was my mistake, I tried to tell the guy we start work at 7 am and work untill 3:30 pm normally, if we had a tech go out for 8:30 that means someone would have to stand around the shop for 1 and 1/2 hours. I should have said to the guy fine we'll have a tech there at 8:30 and just charged hime for the added time by raising our rates. The rates are to low anyway. I have been seeing this can't wait attitude more and more, it is usually from a person that works with computers all day. I would have gone out myself after the guy got home from work. but he quickly copped an attitude and said this will not work and hung up. he probably called a electrical service company a few towns away, if he did then he paid 4 times more than he would have with us. I learned my lesson, answer the phone quickly, yes them to death, then charge them up the @$%. Dodge content, I have to much crap stacked in front of and on top of my 48 B-1 to work on it.
