Up here, we have had very hot, and humid summers with little rain for the last 3 years, AND the Wasp, hornets, yellow jackets have been terrible. This year, it has been much milder with alot more cooler days, not as humid and more rain, so they have not been too awefully bad. Last summer and the summer before, it was so bad with these critters, that I could park a truck for a week, and within that week, they'd have it totally infested! They get in the door jambs, open windows, grilles, rusted out holes, and even truck stake pockets. I usually use the cheapo Wal-Mart brand of carb cleaner to extermanate these pests. I buy a case a year to use, and always have a can with me while I am outback in the 'boneyard' When I open the door to a vehicle out there, I step back for a sec, then look all over inside before I do anything else. And this Cheapo Walmart Brand carb cleaner kills fast too! Hopefully if the next summer or two is mild like this one has been, they will not breed like crazy and be so aggressive like they have been the last few years.
