Steel fuel line replacement

I need to replace some steel fuel lines on an old Power Wagon. I've seen it done on a couple of trucks using copper tubing instead of steel. Is this a good way to go? I've tried to buy steel fuel line in the past and the only thing I was able to get was brake line. What do you guys use?
