Man to be honest the dodge that would be the candidate for this swap is not worth fixing back to stock. It is my buddy's truck and he has been trying to sell it for a couple of months. The problem is that to fix them back to normal you have to buy parts that people want a million dollars for and thats okay if someone thinks there parts are worth that, but it just isn't worth it to my friend. So the other route to take is to sell the truck, but when you have the parts you can't give them away, and all that ends up happening is you get a bunch of calls for people wanting to give you a 100 dollars for the whole thing or trade it for a ford pinto. So this is the reasoning for wanting to swap the drivetrain. Just so you know I would like to use an early dodge with the cummins motor but it would require alot of cutting to get that large of a motor in it and the main reason is that I have a m1008 parts vehicle and I don't have a dodge to use.
