Some of you may remember my recent carb problems on my W200 crewcab's 383. I couldn't get the Carter 2bbl to run right. It was running rich and getting 6mpg and I couldn't get it to run on the idle circuit. Finally I gave up and took it to a carb shop (down by the railroad tracks, in business since 1950, this must be the right place). Turns out the carb had a crack somewhere inside so that when it warmed up it was dripping gas into the manifold. No wonder I couldn't get it to run right. They didn't have another BBD so they put a newer rebuilt Holley on it. It runs great! I can't wait to see what my gas mileage will be on my next tank. I'm glad I got this taken care of before the trip to Ouray.
