WILL, to me i think it's worth it, new metal,primed and ready to paint , and bolt on.i think it has the oval shape in it to.i know around here, a piece of 16 gauge steel, 4' x 8' is $40.00 plus tax, then you would have to break the metal, drill the holes,sand blast ,and prime, and then would have no way of stamping the original oval.but then like the one fellow said he used a piece of pipe, and 10 gauge metal.i know i plan on getting all my bed for my 1941 from him, i like the idea of brand new metal with no rust repair. it's up to you.good luck RICK
