Runs great and drives straight. This restoration took 20+ years. The major work was done in the early 1980’s and then the truck sat in a barn. Paint job was rushed and needs to be re-done to be show room new. Truck originally belonged to the Navy, frame had some rust and it has a home made cross brace in the rear. It is sealed and painted now, straight and solid.

230 cu in flathead, 12V, synchronized 4 speed, lock outs, winch, and custom crafted rear bumper. Everything works gauges and all. Recently re-cored radiator, new hoses, new ignition components, new fuel pump, rebuild generator, starter, brake components, a few new U joints, and fresh lube everywhere. Engine was a complete rebuild in the early 1980’s, runs great, does not smoke nor use any oil. I just got the truck on the road this spring. Powertrain, box and body on this truck are in excellent shape, just not a show room new restoration.

Truck has 20” rims from a 1947 Dodge dump truck and a one-inch lift under the leaf springs. Tires are 1100 R20 and account for its tall appearance. It comfortablely does 50mph with the original 5.83 axles and no excessive rpms.

What is wrong with this truck?
• Front fenders have signs of some rust in one spot. Just starting under the front support brackets.
• Running boards are not original, hand crafted oak planks with a hand rubbed oil finish.
• Winch gearbox does not hold oil. Currently packed with grease. It works fine for the occasional winching task.

Extras?
• Cherry bed rails on box.
• Cherry work box in the bed of the truck goes with the truck
• Many extra parts, wind shield wiper parts I haven’t gotten to installing
