The parts books only show the Ammeter changing a few times:

From 35 0 35 to 50 0 50 in 1949

From the early to late style gauges in early 1951

From 50 0 50 to 30 0 30 in 1955 or 1956

From 30 0 30 AMPS to D 0 C ALT in 1966

Some trucks do have a 60 0 60, but I think that started in 1969.

There are not options for the Ammeter in a given year, even though a high output generator is listed. I think my list all the options there were, though I have not checked this in enough real trucks to be more then 85% positive.
