tires used to be called covers tubes have always been tubes
tubless tires have inner liners which function like the tube with the sealed wheel functioning as the rest of the tube
so a tube type type if mounted with out a tube will let air seep into the casing an come apart
the other thing is that 9.00x16 tires are engineered for 1 wheel only!! and that is a 6.50h16 5 degree bead seat (early military tires actually had that marking on the sidewall)
the beads are too wide (1.25 to 1.5 in) for any tubeless wheel bead seat area and they only work on the wide bead seat 6.50h16 wheels
this is not rocket science - just plain simple engineering
please take 20min and visit Cabell's site and
read the data he has put together
the tire & rim data charts spell it out very clearly
