I assume that you replaced the synchro? I'd go ahead and polish the parts- assuming you like working on trannys as much as I do. If you doesn't work out, you get to do it again!
Hope you replaced all the bearings too, they get lunched when they try to munch the gear debris. And they eat out the inside of the input shaft while getting thier excercise.
