The 25 is most likely for 251, and some rebuilder may have stamped their motors this way.

But I doubt it, the series of numbers ending with a C is common on the 61-62 251s, and may have continued into the 60s.

Are you sure there is no letter (it may be VERY faint) before the 25?

Without the letter before the 25, I can't answer your question of what it is from, but I bet it is original, and aftger I collect more data I will be able to figure out when Dodge did that.

Check the pad again just to be safe.

By the way, what is your VIN number?
