I heard a load of horror stories about these van and Carryall roofs, till I did the first one and it turned out to be cheap and simple - really weatherproof too. (you'd be amazed just how weatherproof the carryall is if the roof, door seals, window boxes and windscreen seals are in correctly, but half the time you see them they are all over the place)

OK, Carryall and van roof 101, here we go.

It's like this. If it has a nice, really neat metal panel properly welded or leaded into place and it looks good - leave it alone and don't mess with it. If it has a hole, or the usual lump of tin tacked, arc-welded, or glued onto the roof, just follow the 'how to' at the link below.

As for knowing about Carryalls, I know just enough to know how little I know.
