After setting up my 1943 WC-52 at the Twin Falls 100th ann. airshow today, I went over to Filer Idaho and followed up on a lead given to me by Niall Irish!! You see it above!! It is a WW2 WC-62 with an air compressor on it! I have been waiting for years for this beast to come up on auction!!
It has conventional PW hood and radiator cowl, WW2 fenders and headlights and a pretty nicely installed GMC cab!! The City of Filer has been using this truck for many years!! It runs and drives great! I found a guy at the auction that wanted the air compressor and he agreed to split the cost with me! So, My final bid was $200.00!! He drove the truck to his yard where he will take the compressor off next week, and I end up with a good runner for $100.00 Not a bad deal eh???
