Hi Mark, As a single unit contractor, are you contacted by local FD's? Or are you on a list and called in by some interagency (State Govt?) central organization? Would you get called in by your closest Federal Lands dispatch office (are you in an area of National Forest or of BLM or both)? Its very intesting. One of our dept's volunteers recently retired from the Army and he just hired on with a local guy starting a wildland contracting company with 4 brand new F450 type 6 engines and 2 new type 3 engines. Maybe his company will come up your way! Good Luck ... it's weird hoping for fires ..., but good luck anyhow, Be careful! Bruce
