there are some products "slip-plate" and other which I believe have a high concentration of graphite. Some of the more serious off-road people have used this type of product to achieve what you are looking for. Some say even the "slip-plate" will eventually wear thru and rust will start.
Other have placed strips of UHMV(cutting board material) or a harder teflon sheet between the leaves and it does basically the same thing. Rust doesn't become an issue as the metal is not touching each other.
