I believe there are 2 different arms. The wiper shaft should be splined like the arm. (Or, the wiper arm should be faceted like the shaft!) Or, get a really big hammer and just drive them babys on, using the square peg into the round hole mentality. Then you wont even need the nut. Given enough force, you are sure to "fix" it!!
