OK, my turn to vent.
I had been getting excessive exhaust noise from the engine compartment onf the GMC 2500 I used to pull the Power Wagon to Iowa with. (note the obligitory Dodge content.) Iwas unable to locate the source and it was getting worse. I took it to a local shop. They called me up and told me I had 3 manifold bolts on the drivers side and one on the passenger side that were broken off. He said the heads need to come off so they can get to them to drill the bolts out. All for the bargain price of about $900 clams. After ruminating on it a bit, I decided to bring it home and do it myself. The stupid bolts are only about 5/16 inch, no wonder they pop the heads off. I wish I could drill them all out and install a proper sized bolt. There isnt room to get a drill in there and drill the broken ones in place. And to make matters worse, My wife is going away this weekend, I had all kinds of projects planned for the Power Wagon. Now it looks like I get towork on a GMC instead. Its just not the same.
Oh well, I feel better now, thanks for listening.
Tim
