The Idaho Trail Ride was terrific this year. On Tuesday, Digger Dan Garrett led us up the 'Island' for the day. He found the steepest, longest hill to climb, but we all spun out and had to back down except for Digger. He managed to sidehill to another road and make it to the top in his M-37. Steve Elliott couldn't even make it in his UniMog. Denise was riding her Arctic Cat 300 and also spun out. Loren and Cheryl Todd also tried the hill without success. I slid off the trail into some quakies while backing down, so I had to winch out by using Digger's truck for an anchor with Loren Todd strapped to the other end of Digger's M-37. We made it to the bottom of the crater on Tuesday.

John Eickhof got to Jarbridge Tuesday night, along with Rick Sultan and Greg and Jade Duffy. Dusty showed up Tuesday night for a little sociallizing before heading back to Wendall, ID.

On Wednesday, we drove over the passes towards Coon Creek Pass and visited the old cabins and mine workings. We came back by the lower road to the top of the pass. Ken Sterrett joined the group on Wednesday.

On Thursday, we made a long trip over the passes again and looped around to the Bruneau River. There's some wonderful scenery there. On the way back, Digger Dan and Steve took the Pole Line road back, while the rest of us used the switchbacks on Deer Creek Grade to get down the mountain.

Neall Irish came in with 9 neighborhood boys to do some hiking. His diesel powered M-37 with M-101 trailer pulled the load easily.

On Friday, we were joined by Chris Johnson to make the trip into the infamous Snowslide Gulch campground via the embattled county road. The trip went smoothly with no breakage.

About 1/2 of the group participated in the Dairy Days parade in Wendell on Saturday.

Rick Sultan took a bunch of pictures, so I hope he can post them for everyone to see.
