my ignition went out in my 74 so i got a new one and when i went to install it i noticed that someone cut the connector off the truck and wired the old ignition direct,so i figured i would do the same so i cut back the tape and some of the old wires came apart at the connectors. The problem is the wires on the switch are not the same as the wires on the truck. So what i need to know is witch wires go together.
On the switch i have red,black,brown,dark blue,yellow, all 10to12 gage wire and a small black wire.
On the truck i have orange,red,pink,light blue,black
If i look in my haynes manual the wire color on the truck are correct and the wire color on the new ignition and old ignitin are the same.
