I had that problem and corrected it by adjusting the push rod away from the Master cylinder. It happened after I allmost smashed into a car that pulled in front of me. I stomped on the brakes real hard and the back presure would not releise on the master cylinder so the light stayed on. Now I have a little pedal play and no problems. I used to only have a little over 1/4 inch of travel befor the brakes started going on. Mark H.
