Rear Shock mount question??

What years were changes made to the rear shock mounts. As many of you know, we are restoring a 1959 W300M. I recently bought a 1957 W300 that was equipped with rear shocks. I thought that it would be nice to save them for the restoration. I finally got to hold them up to the 1959 today and the bolt pattern is different. My question is: Does anyone know what years the rear shock mounts were changed? I know that the late WM300s use smaller shocks, and I have access to a set of those as well. The only reason to add the rear shocks to the 1959 is to add uniqueness. I don't want to add them if they are not the correct version for the model year. Any feedback, pictures, etc. would be great!
