Here's our first POWER WAGON. My son collects 2WD's and saw this in a field two miles from home. We didn't know anything about it until we drug it home. When we discovered it was a 4x4, we thought it might be a Marmon-Herrington conversion.

Then we found a data plate saying it was a WDX. When we asked the rancher from whom we bought it, he told us is was a PW rollover that was repaired by using the cab, hood, and front fenders from a ton-and-a-half Dodge 2WD firetruck. He moved the data plate to the new cab.

The bed is a ton-and-a-half Army cargo trailer shortened so the wheelwells would fit the cab-to-axle dimension.

We went to the Dodge service manual and had it running in no time.

To bad about the original sheetmetal. The serial number on the data plate and on the truck frame is 83900062. That's the earliest WDX I know of.

The one on e-bay has the larger front fenders of the ton-and-a-half and two-ton 2WD Dodges. There was a PW with the smaller (1/2, 3/4, & 1-ton) front fenders at Fairfield a few years back. The larger fenders look much better.
