Are you running a centered rear diff?
It seemed odd to me that the tolerance is so close that you had to add a second gasket under the axle flange to get your Lock Right to work.
I have a centered diff. I was looking at my axles last night. I don’t think they are the same length left to right. They are very close, and would be easy to mix up. If they were switched, I wonder if that could cause the problem you described?
I don’t know what caused my problem, but it seems to be fixed now.
