Pinion Shaft Seal Repair

Im looking at a truck that is leaking fluid from the front end. The seller (a Dodge mechanic) says it needs a pinion shaft seal. He says that it is an easy fix for someone who knows 50 year old trucks, but perhaps not for a modern day mechanic.

So, to the many PW experts here, your help is requested... Can you tell me if this is a repair of such difficulty that I should look elsewhere? If not, what is the degree of difficulty and expected repair cost?
