Drag Link Repair
I’m about to pull be drag link and pitman arm off to make the repairs after it coming apart at the Southern PW Rally.
I’m still perplexed with the sequence of the Bumper, Spring, Sockets, Plug, wire, Zert on the drag link end.
Based on the “Key” slot design of the drag link, the ball slips in on the rear or right end for assembly I would expect the drag link to pop off of the Pitman Arm just as mine did while off roading.
It seems to me like both ends should be installed the same with the springs outboard of the balls, keeping them in the bottom of the “key” way keeping them secure.
Any one with any thoughts, ideas, help?
