Small correction. Additional pressure raises the boiling
point. That's what you want because in that case, it can get
hotter without boiling over. On the other hand, I am sure we all
know that this cooling system seems to be at the edge. Allowing this
old engine to get hotter may not be what it really wants right now.
Have all the obvious things been checked? Loose fanbelt? Plugged core?
Thermostat problem (stuck, missing altogether)?
