If the tanks in overall good condition without rust out, Draino (take appropriate precautions) Sluhed around for about twenty minutes works really good. I've gone the other route (radiator shop) and it was 60$+. Like I said, if it's in GOOD condition, the draino works great.
Remove the pickup tube, as it may not react well if there is some plastic filter material there.
