A few days ago I decided to replace the gaskets/bearings, etc in the rear differential of my '55PW.
After removing the axels and dropping the pumpkin, I did a sweep through the bottom of the housing to
look for metal shavings, etc. Luckily, I found no metal shavings, but did find a piece of metal
about 3/8" thick, maybe 1/2" tall and about 2.5" long. The mystery piece has a hole machined about
half way through the thickness and roughly centered up/down, left right. The piece is also has a radius
to it. If anyone has an idea of what it is, and where it goes, I would be most happy if you would
pass that information along. Thanks.
