I have a Lincoln which is an excellent unit. Cost is a factor. Miller is also an excellent company. In my mind, MIG is the simple way to go for an inexperienced person such as myself. The old "pros" used a torch (gas welding). I've tried it and its a real art. Don't know much about TIG. Dick Rogers
