I agree with Paul. If you can remove the bellhousing bolts in chassis, you would be able to do what you are inquiring about. But you will probably have some trouble accessing all of the bolts, 'cause you can't get your hands or arms far enough in to be useful. It is definitely easier to strip the tranny down, undo the bellhousing mounts, and pull the whole unit.
