sounds to me like you've probably got a bent frame
its been my experience, living in a snow belt that
a truck with a plow is usually only good for a
couple years. plowing snow is extremely hard on
a dodge frame, they are weak enough as it is....
the dodge's with power steering are especially
susceptible to braking frames around the steering
boxes. welding the front spring perches to the to
the frame is a big help. with a truck with a
deisel we have found that removing the front
perches and adding a two inch by three tubing
cross member between the frame and the perches
and then adding longer rear shackles lifts the
front end while maintaining the same caster.
this crossmember is mantitory to prevent the frame
from braking with a truck with powersteering and
a deisel.
the mounting plate between the powersteering
box and and the frame is very susceptible to
breaking also, i have broken three on my 83
alone.
