The 51 should be a B2 or B3-PW-126. The B2 was carried for two years, can't remember if it was 50-51, or 51-52. 126 refers to wheelbase. Same as earlier WDX with alot of improvements made in 1951, including increased axle capacity, spring rates, angle of drive shaft, etc. 230ci. engine. All described in "Dodge Truck History and Restoration Guide". Number on left front of cylinder head should begin with T-137 if original. Non-synchro transmission (requires double-clutching).

Evaluation depends on your purpose for the truck. If restoring, sheet metal is paramount. If not, it isn't. Original bed and fenders in good condition are more valuable, as these are almost non-existent in the marketplace as replacements. Winch desireable. Rear PTO assembly hot item. Rear springs somewhat uncommon. Delux cab (arm rest, vent wings, dome light, visors) desireable. Check condition of frame to see if the sandwich (2 piece) construction in center is delaminating due to rust. Most of the drivetrain is easy to rebuild with available parts.

Post pictures, numbers and specifics and we can help alot more. GOOD LUCK!
