No need to rewind the Delco internally regulated 12v alternator. Just replace the 12v regulator with a 24v one. You don't have to buy the expensive one from Delco, either. Transpo part # D-30s (about $17) or WAI part # 35-106 ($13.75) Either of these regulators will give you the 24v, one wire setup.
