I agree that another ID and password can be tiresome. However, everybody is forgetting that this is a courtesy that Joe is extending to us. Jason has no profile on AOL (I checked) and is probably a kid who doesn't even have a license to drive yet.
The alternative to letting the Jasons of the world shut this site down altogether is to have the forum moderated. This means that only the posts that Joe gets to read will be posted. This is even more intrusive on his time than the proposed setup. Would the forum even exist if this were the case?
Yes it's a nuisance. But then, so is paying taxes, driving the speed limit when you're in a hurry, listen to your boss tell you you did something wrong, paying taxes, listening to politicians tell you they care about you, paying taxes, turning the key and the starter only grunts once and so on.
I may not check the forum as often, but I'll bet the garbage posts thin out quite a bit afterward.
