Nice straight rust free western truck in running condition. Everything works except center dial fell off speedometer. For the most part very original. Has 47 date coded winch that has been rebuilt. Original PTO drive shaft with Blood Bros joints.
Original wood bed still intact but needs replacing. No rust in bed edge angle or in any stake pockets. All frame cross members are solid and rust free. Cab floor is very good with minor to mod pitting around floor panels. I replaced the driver floor panel and the refurbished the passenger side. The floors under the seats and in the back of the cab are perfect. Some damage to the rear sides of beds were something was mounted (tank?).
The cab has a few dents in the top but none are major. I replaced one hood section with a better one recently. Interior needs headliner but all fasteners and trim pieces are present. Glass is good to OK but doors do need window channel and weatherstripping. Door latches will likely need replaced. Door bottoms are excellent though. New reupholstered seat with original type leatherette vinyl.
Motor is Chrysler replacement motor of unknown age. Paper sticker is still on motor above distributor. This motor runs excellent and pulls strong. Oil pressure does seem to drop pretty low when hot. Does not burn oil. Transmission shifts fine, parking brake works.
Recently rebuilt front axle with all new bushings, seals, tie rod ends. All brake cylinders have been replaced and truck stops well. New correct exhaust.
I had the generator rebuilt, new voltage regulator and battery. All lights work and charging system is operating. Has correct headlights and bases. Windshield has been redone with VPW seal. Regulator works OK.
Has Rear PTO pillow block with good bearings and new seals. Included are rear drive shaft and center carrier bearing and hanger. I also have parts to fab new center drive shaft. No belt pulley or governor.
Tail gate is typically PW tailgate, a little rough. Could be brought back though.
New Denman 9.00 x 16 with correct 47 date coded rims.
