I remember seeing ads for making your own diesel fuel back in the 70's but never checked into it. Some people are taking waste veggie oil and running it through filters and using that instead of bio-diesel in old diesel VW's and Mercedes Benz cars. The latter at least needs a heater for the fuel 'oil' befiore it gets to the injector pump.
