Everybody knows CAL. is always first They dream this/whatever up and the rest of country joins in. Iam sure we will find out soon enough. The GOV. plans to lower sulpur in off road diesel for use in const./mineing/aggr/trains/boats etc. They are also lowering levels for highway use but those levels are already lower than off road so it won:t be much of a big deal. And yes there were problems with lubercation mostly in rotery type pumps at high RPM, thats way everybody went to inline pumps with oil feed from engine. Most all new trucks, of all GVW ratings have Catalytic converters.I still like my diesels and will probally be using soy oil soon. note: a small amount of Dextron or upper cyl. lubercant few oz per 20gal helps with reducing wear in rotery pumps works for me in my 84 chevy K-30(1 ton 4x4} dualy with 6 BTA 5.9 270hp cummins that runs 2750rpm all the day long.
