I read with interest yesterday about the Goverment's plan to reduce the sulfur content of diesel fuels. The plan is to drop the content in two stages by 2006, and 2010.

What will replace the sulfur? Will the replacement cause the price of diesel to skyrocket? Will there be different blends, for different seasons (another price manipulator). How will the changes affect the performance and mileage of future diesel powered vehicles.

These are things I'm wondering about as I entertain the thought of switching to a diesel pickup.
