I put one on my old 230 that came in my 46WDX, as well as my 52 Ford 8N tractor. They're great! Just bought one for my 251, but ran into a snag. You have to use the large Prestolite rotor instead of the little pear shaped Dodge one that I have. To use the Prestolite rotor, you have to use the corresponding Prestolite cap where the wire terminals are on the sides rather than the top. It's also an expensive cap at about $49 at NAPA. Unfortunately, the terminals interfere with the vacuum advance. So... if you have the larger style distributor like the old 230's had, or have a mechanical advance distributor, easy conversion. Smaller type with vacuum advance, and you'll have more work to do...
