I don't know. I mean I have a strong sense of accomplishment and all but the best thing that happened during the show is I met the son of the man I got the Carryall from. He got a bit misty when he was telling me all of his memories of the rig. He learned how to drive in it in 1961 when he was 10. He told me of the Moose hunts and the time they shot 3 moose by accident and had legs sticking out the side windows and the steam was so bad they fogged up with the front windshield open, hauling wood, overhauling the engine when they where snowed in for 2 weeks and bored out of their gourds. Great stories, he talked for almost 2 hours and shot about 3 rolls of film. He must of thanked me for giving it a second life at least 2 dozen times. He'd say, "I've had trucks that didn't deserve their first life, but this one... you did a good thing." He told my wife he was heading for the one hour photo and was going to show the pictures to his dad. He was hoping his dad would remember due to his mind and health failing rapidly. I think out of all that I enjoy of this hobby the most is the smiles on the old timers/vets (the term "old timer" is said with the utmost respect) faces during parades or shows. Watching them relive a time a Flat Fender got them out of a pinch. Man...you just can't beat it.
