Just went through this myself. You should hook up your pvc valve, known as the metering valve. A line attaches to the oil filler pipe, and aircleaner. The other line attaches to the road draft tube and Metering valve on the other end. It creates a positive air flow through the crankcase and sucks the acid fumes and moisture to be ingested in the carborator. The road draft tube is only useful at speeds above 25 mph where air gets rammed into it causing the fumes to escape. The pvc system is considered to severe driving conditions, in other words, during the usual stop start, slow speed driving we do in these rigs. Mine runs a lot better with the metering valve hooked up.
