The rig used to tow that bad boy is called a Shirley trailer. It usually is towed with a seated driver on the foreward or aft end. We used to use them all the time on the North Slope of Alaska to move everything from Buildings to equipment. They are adaptable rubber tired vehicles and the number of rows of tires depends on the amount of weight needed to be moved. Usually counterweighted Macks are used to tow them and the reason there is no wide load sign is because the road is closed usually. Shaughnessy and Company, Emmert International are all companies that do this
