Thanks for the advice on the frame repair on my '67 WM300. I removed the plate that had been added underneath the spring perch throwing the rear axle out of alignment. The crack is at the point where the inner frame channel ends, just ahead of the crossmember. The crack had been welded, but the weld didn't hold, the bead split along the crack. Maybe that's why the plate was added. It appears they didn't create a V-groove or anything before welding, just put the bead on the surface. I need to get it welded up right, then maybe put a plate underneath or on top so it wont affect the spring perch. Any advice is appeciated. I hope to post pictures of both trucks soon.
