Maybe your one is too 'new' to have the single tranverse leaf spring rear suspension then, which makes them corner like a Corvair? in which case you're lucky. I seem to remember the Herald, Vitesse, and Sptifire shared the same backbone chassis which was a good concept, but let down by the cheap rear suspension setup. Spitfires aren't that common here in the UK now.

I'd rather corner quickly in a 3 /4 ton WC, and lets face it, they aren't known for their cornering. Why do Americans collect British cars, and us Brits are always buying American ones ?
