Thanks for the info.I can see the revised popularity of the poly from your mentioning of current nascar,i guess thats where i got left out,i don't follow it, cars all look the same.I did alot of work on the early hemis and b rb motors,i had a 69 coronet that had a 69 440 crossbolted [hemi cross bolted main caps] block with the sixpack rods forged crank Tm7 intake Holley projection, a set of them harlan sharp roller rockers, roller cam,i forget the specs.906 aluminum heads with the 2.08 1.81?? valves.Got lucky with a 727 auto out of a hemi charger went thru it put a manual shifter in, MSD 6al ignition, the 8 3/4 rear i used the stock housing for the coronet went to the wrecking yard and got the,if memory serves me right with the numbers,, a 489 pumpkin out of a 69 new yorker,1 7/8 pinion right?? Could not get a dana 60 at that time,i looked but not very hard ain't nothin much stronger than that setup anyway with the auto.Tied the frame rails together, put the police and taxi discs in the front and used the big 12" drums from the new yorker in the back almost 20 years ago,,,, that was the setup then.Unfortunately my experiance baling hay with a two cylinder John Deere was not up to the task of handling that monster,it took so long to build, got to that age where i figured out that i was mortal,so i sold to a calif highway patrolman, haven't seen it since. That was my experiance as ricky racer, have a good day thanks Lucian
