They tell me that in the '50s my grandpa pulled his IH crawler on a lowboy (14K at least) with a stock WC...flat Idaho ground and good trailer brakes kept him alive I guess. WDX with a 200hp Poly would have to be an improvement on that : ).
For pulling that weight I'd think it would be better to either keep the stock gearing and use the 11:00s, or go with 9:00s and do the gear-change...just my two-bits.
